Mokore is a great place to relax and enjoy nature,
whether from
our deck overlooking the Turgwe River or from the back of a comfortable
game viewing truck. Mokore is a Big Five area and we are
also blessed with Cheetah, Hippo, Hyena and Wild Dog.
Mokore also boasts Zimbabwe's largest baobab and the Mokore River has the highest known breeding density for
Crowned Eagle in the world.
- Cool off with a dip in the Turgwe River (just ask one of our staff which spots are safe).
- Go and see the hippos and crocodiles at Majehwe Weir.
- Have a braai or picnic in the bush.
- Go on a bush walk with our Manager.
- Go and see the baobab which you can jump into!
- Visit the ruins of the Umkondo Mine hole filled with water & the old club house, houses & processing plant.
- Go it alone on a self-orientated game drive following a specially marked map.
- Finish the day by enjoying a drink on sun downer rock which views the whole of Mokore Ranch as far as the eye can see.
